What I want is simple, but not really.
Someone who can listen and speak freely.
They want nothing more than to hear my voice.
They would sit to watch me dream if they had a choice.
And when I'll wake up and look like I'd died,
They'd tell me I'm gorgeous and not have lied.
They'd laugh when I'm silly and cry when I'm sad.
They might get upset with me, but never get mad.
They would make me go into the cold to shovel the snow,
Just to see my face with that frozen-pink glow.
He's kind and wants nothing more than just me.
And he delights in doing things that make me happy.
He wants to do nothing but hold me soft and tight.
And keep me warm on those bitter cold nights.
And even though he's stubborn and doesn't admit when he feels dead,
He'll let me take care of him when he's sick and in bed.
He may even come to like my taking care of him all day,
As I'll make hot soup, give him a grin and say:
"I'll love you forever, through the thick and the thin."
"I'll love you too." He'll reply with a grin.
We'll never stop loving; our hearts will always shine.
Our love will last forever, until the end of time.
