Q: So… what happened?

A: If you are a long time fan of the CD Dias, you probably know what happened in the middle of 2005. The dias were formerly a collaborative piece maintained by a former friend and me. During my senior year in high school, this former friend decided to sever all ties with me, and thereby brought the dias to a screeching halt. As the majority of the work on the dias were mine, she agreed to allow me full rights to our stories as long as I changed the name of her former character and alter a few other things in the dias.

It has been almost 3 years since then, and updates to the dias have been few and far between. I'm sorry to announce that that isn't going to change anytime soon. I'm currently a second semester sophomore in college with a lot on my plate, and writing the dias just simply isn't a priority. I'm struggling to keep up with tuition payments, and if writing these dias got me paid you can bet I'd write one every night, but sadly, that's not the way this works.

I'm hoping that some day I'll be able to resume the dias, possibly as a side-project to keep me sane during the summer months. Until then, however the old dias will continue to be available online here at Castle Dreamer. Please enjoy the dias that are up and running, and if you really want to get new ones, just bug me a lot and I might buckle down! ;)

Q: Are you ever going to do the character pages you promised?

A: Eh… Maybe? That's about the best I can say right now. Like I said above, I'm just so busy right now. I'm hurting for money, which is the only reason I have the Central Wing up and running… I can get payed for that stuff. Can't get paid for this. Sorry…

Q: Can you tell me what happens later in the dias?

A: I feel bad that I can't update, but that doesn't mean I'll give away the story! You'll just have to be patient… If I ever decide to announce that the dias will be discontinued permanently, then I'll probably release a plot summery for those who wish to know what happens. Until then though… you'll just have to wait on the edge of your seat!

Q: Will you add my original character to the story?

A: The answer to this is a resounding "um…." See here's the thing… copyright is a bitch! I don't want to be accused of stealing characters, and especially after the events with my former collaborative partner, I really don't want to invest in the work of others. Not only that, but there is absolutely no room left in the story for any other original Items. They just don't work. That tends to piss people off, to which I say: my story, my rules. Listen, there are going to be parts of the story where we need random, one-time-use people who show up and then are never heard from again… every now and then I might just ask for people who want to lend their stats to a situation like that. Otherwise, don't e-mail me expecting to become the star of the show.

Sorry if that sounded a little harsh but I'm sick of arguing with people over e-mail >.>

Q: Can *insert random plot idea here* happen in the next dia?

A: I appreciate ideas for the plot… but just so you all know, the entirety of the basic plot for the dias is pretty much done. Has been for a very long time. It's just a matter of writing the stories now. Feel free to send me any ideas you have, but don't expect them to be used anytime soon. Rest assured that if I ever do pick up an idea here or there for loopholes in the story that credit will be given where credit is due.
